Derby Festival in Louisville is Now Several Weeks of Celebration, Plus More Bourbon Tours and Events Than Ever Before
Ask any Louisvillian. The Derby Festival weeks preceding the actual Kentucky Derby Day (first Saturday in May), are like one long holiday with one colorful event after the next, collectively creating a city-wide atmosphere of celebration. Across the city, lunches get longer, and Spring is in the air as well as live music from most bars. It’s the best time to visit Louisville, and now there are continuously more bourbon events joining the party.
For any out-of-town visitors, now is the time to plan and secure lodgings as well as admissions to bourbon tours. Derby Festival and festival-inspired bourbon experiences are coming soon! At Historic DuPont Mansion Bed & Breakfast in Old Louisville, we are encouraging visitors (and local stay-cationers!) to attend these particular favorites among traditional and new Derby Festival events:
- Among the early events to catch for getting into the spirit, “Festival Unveiled” is presented by Four Roses Bourbon, Thursday, March 16, Mellwood Art Center,
for only $50 admission. Be there first-hand to see the unveiling of this year’s Derby Festival poster, and toast the artist(s) with Four Roses!
- Ladies, bring your girlfriends to Dillard’s Kentucky Derby Festival Spring Fashion Show, March 30, 5:00 pm EST, at Caesar’s in Southern Indiana, for only $65 admission. See the latest fashions and accessory trends for Derby season!
